Always Bet on Black

I have to recommend to anyone looking for a good book Black by Ted Dekker. I finished it just a couple of days ago and pounded out the sequel, Red, in a day and a half. If my wife will hurry up and finish the third book in the series, White, I'll be a happy camper. Black starts by blindfolding you, spinning you around in circles a dozen or so times and then letting you walk into a wall. Your nose stings and you wonder why you thought this was such a good idea. After 70 pages or so, the confusion starts to subside and you begin to feel that you made the right choice by not dropping the book. By the time you finish, you can't wait to get your hands on the second book in the series. I don't really want to delve into the plot all that much because it's more fun to discover it on your own. Think CS Lewis + The Lord of the Rings + the Matrix + Armageddon. That about covers it. Pick up the series and thank me later.
